Molto più grave del previsto l'infortunio occorso nel primo quarto di gara sei a Kendrick Perkins. La prima diagnosi è inquietante, rottura di due legamenti del ginocchio destro il crociato posteriore e il collaterale mediale.

Difficile al momento fare una stima dei tempi dei recupero, se la prima diagnosi sarà confermata negli esami a cui il centro dei Celtics sarà sottoposto al rientro a Boston dopo gara sette, buona parte della prossima stagione appare compromessa, si parla di 8-9 mesi di stop, e un rientro molto graduale vista la mole del giocatore.

Celtics center Kendrick Perkins walked into Staples Center on crutches this afternoon and told reporters he has torn MCL and PCL ligaments in his right knee. The injury ends any chance that Perkins will play in tomorrow's Game 7.

"He's not going to go, I can tell you that now," said Celtics coach Doc Rivers. "We're not going to do an MRI until we get back. Once they did the tests that they did on him and they realized he couldn't play well, there was no reason to send him to an MRI, too. That will come, and then we'll make a determination on what we have to do."

"I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me," Perkins said. "It's an important game, it's not about me. It's about winning the title."
